..The United States is a nation of diverse cultural values and practices that are presented in the movies, films, and television programs used for entertainment and education of the masses. Producers and filmmakers in Hollywood create stories that highlight the important aspects of the cultural and social values of the various ethnic groups that constitute its society. They rely on American actors and actresses from these ethnic groups to perform the role of the characters in the movies and television shows. For example, African- American actors are used for performances that tell the story of black people or highlight the importance of the customs and traditions of the ethnic group. Similarly, Hispanics are cast in roles that tell the story of people and society of their race. However, Asian-American actors and actresses do not enjoy the same privilege as they belong to the ethnic group that is mostly white-washed and cast in minor roles for theater productions whose stories and narratives are based on their culture.
