The main role of a counseling psychologist is to interact with the patient’s daily stressors and guide the patient in gaining a balance in life and reduce the adverse effects of the stressors. Other than following on the stressful events of the patients’ lives, the counseling psychologists can step in and assist patients who find themselves in crisis due to the stressful events in their lives.
