What is your responsibility as the nurse providing care?When it comes to substance and drug abuse disorder nurses and doctors are not immune. Studies show that most health care providers suffer from drug addiction (Park et al., 2014). However, the nursing profession or any other profession does not allow practicing under the influence of the drug. In this case, it shows that the nurse has been providing health care while having taken the substance. A drug addict cannot give health service to patients efficiently (Morton et al., 2017).
