As you are sitting at your desk one day, you get a phone call from your boss asking that you lead a pilot project to implement the use of dashboards in the call center. The goal is to demonstrate the value of dashboards to help monitor and improve the operations in many of the firms business units. How do you respond to your bosss request? Answer Preview Question 1. I am strongly opposed to the move
to allow Walmart to access my social media activities, which include postings, messages, and my photos without my consent or knowledge. The United States Constitutions provides the right to privacy for all Americans citizens. Therefore, I have the liberty to undertake my activities on social media sites without interference from other persons and organizations. Therefore, I believe the social media company has the mandate to protect the privacy of its users. It is imperative to understand that the social site contain users confidential information, which should be accessed by other individuals with their consent (Cross & Shimonski, 2014). At the same time, the site contained a privacy policy, which informed the users including me that our data will be protected. Thus, is both unethical and illegal to allow business entities, like Walmart to access timelines and inboxes to acquire information about us. I do not believe the move will have any significant impact on the users well-being. Instead, it will benefit the social media firm and Walmart. The outlook is driven by the view that the Walmart will have to pay the social site firm a certain amount of money to access the data it needs. On the other hand, Walmart will benefit by making more sales because their products will be developed based on the needs and expectations of the customers. Moreover, some of the users are unlikely to be Walmarts customers. Accordingly, they are likely to feel irritated when they constantly receive emails and messages from the retail store informing them about their products
