f Strategic Communication, 1(1), 53-71.Berger et al. present the results of research conducted with 97 high-ranking public relations officers regarding their success in the field. The authors claim that success in PR leadership was mainly based on management and strategy. However, amazingly, they reported diverse strategies and pathways to achieve the same success in communication leadership. This observation prompts the authors to claim that it is impossible to come up with a single way of achieving success in PR leadership. The survey brought about findings in 10 diverse themes such as complex communication sets, network relationships, diversity in experience, and professionalism. Therefore, it is evident that while a set of values may be attributed to good leadership in communication, little of consensus can be arrived on the topic.
