Scenario: A salesperson for your company lost his laptop and all the data in it during a fire in his house. Since this salesperson was a telecommuter, he or she did not have proper backups in place for the data. All the customers data for this salesperson have been lost. Your company has conducted a thorough audit of the backup and security procedures in-house and determined that most, if not all, data on telecommuters laptops is neither being properly backed up nor secured.
